Well, I just got done writing a last minute speech that I'm scheduled to give tomorrow between 8am and 9:15am, it's now 3 am. It's a 7 min impromptu speech on the conflict in Darfur and I was worried about coming in way under time, but I had to cut over 5 min. I don't think I'm even gonna be nervous, I'll be in zombie mode and go into cruise control.

I'm off to bed for 3 hrs. I just hope I don't get in front of the class and zone out or fall asleep.

I just got home, I had another class after. It went pretty well. Of course there were a few slip ups along the way, but that's to be expected in the first speech of the semester. My only real screw up was my powerpoint that I had up to go with the presentation. I was kinda nervous and didn't hit the slide show button, so it didn't look that great, but I still got my point across, and the teacher said I did a good job when I was talking to her after the class.

The teacher told us the first day of class how there's always a lot of drops right before the first speech and she was right on the money. Of the 9 people scheduled to speak today (including me) only 4 showed.
