Default Missing control cavity cover ! Interference problems???

arrrgh I can't find the control cavity cover for my LesPaul !! Yes thats dumb I know . But, I have to use this thing for a really important rehearsal this afternoon...

Am I going to have problems with interference or noise with no cover on there? (It has no shielding tape/paint job in the surfaces of the cavity or the cover itself)

Or should I bring another guitar instead?

    thanks

I don't think it'll be too much of a problem without the cover. You could probably find one at a guitar store easily, if it bugs you too much. The covers are mainly there to keep dust/debris out of the wiring.

If you have the strings grounded the guitar uses your belly (or balls) for back shielding anyway.

Many LPs have just a plastic cover.
