    Default Dave Marton

I hadn't heard of this guy until about 15 minutes ago. It's obviously nothing immensely groundbreaking, but I dig it nonetheless. The Parker guitar is cool, too.

The dude rules! I love his album "Zone". Really versatile guitarist can play about anything it seems in the fusion/rock arena. You should check out his side project Synethesia as well.

Fast forward to about 6:53 on this one for some really great fusion lines.

All I know of Marton is that he did a badass cover of Jason Becker's "Higher". IMO is even better than the original. Check it out.

Is it just me, or is shred (for lack of a better word) in a better place than ever? All the younger guys, and the older ones who are still around, seem to have learned from the 80's.

Vinterland, I just watched that video.... that's absolutely sick when Shawn Lane comes on.

BTW, thanks for posting that link. Way too much cool stuff in there.

Wow, that Guthrie Govan clip in the Guitars Suck video is incredible! Such a clean picking technique! It's no wonder even Paul Gilbert is amazed by him.
