    Default Pickup identification

    Hi there!

I just got hold of a Ibanez Paul Gilbert model guitar, with Seymour Duncans in it.
I checked the back of the pickups to find out which models they were, and the neck pickup is a '59.
But the bridge pickup only had a sticker that said "DC" on it.

    Any idea what it is?

I love the sound and would like to know...

It's the District of Columbia model. It costs 10 Trillion dollars and sounds real good but doesn't work when you need it to.

    Or it's a Custom................

ROFL!!!! Boy, Robert's been tossing out some zingers lately.

Those PGM's are sweet guitars. About the only Ibby I like, and there's only a couple out of the whole line I do like. IMO, DiMarzios would be much better suited in that guitar. Not because that is what it came with (either PAF Pro's or Tone Zone/Humbucker from Hell), but because DiMarzio's work better in basswood than Duncans, IME/IMO anyway.

Side note on the current "DC" pickup, it will not bail you out if you suddenly start playing really badly and take the band's performance down with you...LOL.
