I have a Focus 6000 that's been with me longer than any other guitar (which really isn't saying much... I've had it 3 or 4 years ).

That Baretta is sweet! I can't decide if I'd rather have a Pacer or Baretta.... In the meantime, I'd love to get a Focus 3000, given my infatuation with Strats.
Buy the book in my avatar. It's pretty cool.

is the floyd on your flush to the body? cuz on my reissue it comes with little shims in the neck to give it a "better angle for the floyd" but thit causes the floyd to float above the body a tiny bit. I was just wondering if I took the shims out would it sit flat too?

Yes, the Floyd is flush. It wasn't shimmed when I got it, which was somewhere around 1995 or so, and I can't remember if I shimmed it or not. You could take out one of the shims and see if it'll sit on the body.

He's being a smarty pants. He owns quite a few Kramers himself, several of which are part mutts of old Kramers.

i've had 2 kramers, both purchaed for around $200....

    they are both great guitars.

since i'm a lefty, and they were righty, they both got resprayed and put back together and given away.

my brother has the pointy headstock focus, and it sounds really really proper.

are shims usually attached to the neck or would they just fall out when i take the neck off? should i do it myself or get a tech to do it for me?

They just sit in the pocket. Heck, I've used a thin pick as a shim before. Just loosen the neck screws and remove/add what you need to. It's really easy to do.

That reissue looks pretty nice. I'll stick with my Focus 1000, but that is a very nice looking guitar. The headstock looks kinda pointy though. I'd prefer a nanner headstock myself. Mine has a pointy headstock, but I like nanner headstocks best.

its just the angle i took of the pic. it is a nanner head stock but i think it looks more like a hockystick head. i think the 1984 reissue has more a nanner shape. but go to "kramer guitars.com" and check em out

The '85 RI has a banana or aka, hockey stick, headstock. I've yet to play one but have heard from those who own originals that they are fantastic guitars.
