Default Can anybody identify this LP clone?

just wondering if anybody recognizes the neck, headstock shape, cutout, hardware, etc and might have a clue who made this LP clone. neck is either a deep bolt-in or set (I think it's set based on the appearance of the paint where the heel meets the body)

I don't know who made it, but I'd not touch it even with a stick. The curves of the body look plain awful.

you mean just the general appearance with the smaller waist and deeper cutout? I agree they're not as pretty as a traditional Les Paul but I don't think the guitar is ugly.

the construction appears to be on par with the cheaper (read: not Edwards or Greco) imports.

I'm just looking for a cheap project guitar to make a straight up rock n roll machine. I'd plan on sanding and oil finishing the neck, upgrading the bridge, pots/switch/jack, and swapping in some Gibson and Duncan pups I have lying around. figure I'd be putting about $65 + purchase price into the project (not including the value of the pickups)

It looks quite similar to a Dean Evo, or maybe a Michael Kelly....Yes, cheap imports, but not bad guitars.

Looks like a Les Paul copy a guy I knew once had.......It said "Crate" on the headstock, yep Crate! It had the same pointy extra deep cut-away. They must've experimented with a guitar line for a little while.
Only you can decide what "good" sounds like!

it looks like a Samick copy. Got a buddy of mine that has one of those Samick Greg Bennet Les Paul styles and the body cuts are almost exactly the same...can't say for sure though, usually they say samick on the headstock

Aria Pro II. That was my first thought when I saw it.
