Check out the Dimarzio board.
I have used the X2N a lot, bought 3 of em over the years.
What do you want to know about it ?

I didn't even know Dimarzio had a board?
My bad. I just want to know about the output. Does it have a lot of problem with feedback or noise? I like the EVO, but it doesn't have good lows for rhythm. I tried the super distortion, but its not bright enough lol. I'm thinking the X2N will be decent at both.

Its also going in an alder body guitar.

Gobs of output, nice flat response, great bending scream due to the blades, but a bit fizzy/mushy in the lows. Indeed, that's why I stopped using the X2N, it was very mushy in the lows and tight palm mutes were souding a bit weird with lots of gain. I switched to playing only EMG back then because I was playing lots of rhythm parts.
Nowadays, however, I play only lead most of the time and sometimes I wish I would get an X2N back because the lead tone was extremely satisfying ! Also the feel of the pickup was very strong with lots of power and in a band, the sound always cuts through without harsh highs. Very nice !
I never tried the D-Activator, but it might be better for you than the X2N.

Thanks man. I play mostly rhythm, so maybe the X2N wouldn't be good for me. I wonder if I could brighten up the Super with a 1 meg pot?

That would not hurt, also disconnect the tone pot completely...
Or maybe do not put any pots in the signal chain and just use a volume "switch" instead. This ensures you get the most out of your pickups because they are directly connected to the amp, so all the tone comes through.
