    Default Dumb Question, dimarzio installation

I've never had a dimarzio humbucker. Normally, when I install humbuckers, they all have had the installation orientation where the wires coming from the bottom of the pickup are coming from the back corner on the high e side, but on the dimarzio, If I put it in that way, all the stamping on the baseplate would be upside down, and if I rotate the pickup 180 degrees to where the stamping is correct, the wire coming from the pickup would be in the front (towards neck) corner on the low E side.

    Which way is it?

I agree, The Duncan JB has a tone comparable to Jenna Jameson's snizz, blown out like a flat tire.

I've always installed mine with the wires coming out the high E side, as you normally would.

There really isn't a right or wrong. Try each way and see which way you like best. In the neck position rotating a pickup 180 degrees can help brighten response.

Normally, the screw poles on a neck pickup face the neck and on a bridge pickup they face the bridge. However, if you have a dual hex screw pickup, such as the Super Distortion and PAF Pro, then the way to install them normally is with the wires coming out the high E side.

The Dimarzio website shows their pickups with the lettering on the baseplate backwards. Unlike the Seymour Duncan's.

But ya, I was wondering the same thing when I installed an EVO2.

Which pickup is it exactly? There are Dimarzios that have two different coils, and those will sound different whether they're flipped around or not.
