Hey guys!
Just looking around for any advise or comments on the Charlie Christian pickup design. Does it differ from a standard P-90 sonically?
I know they were wound fairly low like between 2.5-5k and had large steel mags. Apparently weighed like 2 lbs!
The sound clips of CC just blow me away, and the simplicity of the PU design seems just inspiring. It makes me want to make one of a simmiler style.
So if anyone has some experience playing these I'd love to hear your thoughts!
(Or should I just stick with my lovely p-90's)
