looks my new bridge pup has a problem

Installed my A2proN and CCb today, the A2proN sounds great, fat full, nice output.

The CCb sounded about half the output, thin and weak.
Now from what I've gathered the green/bare is ground, red/white is one coil, black is the other coil.

red/white had about 7.5k ohms to the green/bare

black has really high ohms fluctuating, basically open to the green/bare

So I'm guessing I was running on only half the pup.

Unless I'm missing something with how these are internally wired, this CC be defective and I get to wait again

Wire the CC directly to an output jack and see if it works properly.

the first thing is to check your wiring job, you have set it split (single coil)

Well I basically first removed the red/white wires from the coil split, same.
bypassed the selector switch, by relocating the black wire same. so in a sense I wired it pretty much to just the volume control. I know the pots work fine as the neck pickup is doing its thing. The pup is now removed and I started just measuring the DC resistance. black to ground is open it would appear.

Measuring from black to green with the white/red soldered together is open. I'm getting about 700-900k ohms testing just the black to white coil.
Red to green is about 7.2k ohms.

Something isn't happy here.

could be a bad pup, the red/green seems fine but the black/white seems messed up. is this a new pup or used?
