Pickups for Burns semi-acoustic

Hi

I have a burns GB-66 semi accoustic

Basically the guitar playes realy well but the pickups are well past their sell-by date and never sounded particularly punchy.

I'm looking for some suggestions for Seymour replacements.

I play a mixture of "Who" style 60's, blues and rock

Would quite like some humbuckers but the pickups wells are just too thin so maybe the JB Jr o rLi'l Screaming are an option? but not sure how these would be fitted as the existing pickups are fixed to the bottom of the pickups well not to a pickguard like a strat

Bottom line-get some P90's for that guy and you'll be in business-- Who tone all day long--pure rock and roll and all the jangle you want. Looks like that guitar might ne routed for that size already?

I don't think you will find an off the shelf replacement, but P90s, Mini HBs, or Dynasonic types might fit. Are you sure you really want to do that? That hollow twang you get from the '60's underpowered pu' thing is pretty cool for what it is...but it isn't going to do any sort of heavy rock thing.

Having listened to the audio samples of the P90s I am quite tempted

But looking at the pics and the dimension diagram, how on earth do you fit them into the pickup well. There seems to be no way to "screw" them in?
