ESP Eclipse pup change

Hi All,
First post for me and just looking for some thoughts from some experienced
SD ears!
I have an ESP Eclipse with the EMG 81/60 pups that i havent really
been able to really dig. The guitar is awesome acoustically and resonates
like no other i have. I just find the pups a bit stale to my ears and i am going for more of a classic rock/blues rock/hard rock sound. I picked up the Custom Custom SH-11 (bridge) and the
Pearly Gates (neck) the other day and am waiting for them to get installed.
Supposed to be a good combo according to the SD website and several posts
here in the forum.

If anyone has done this with their eclipse, let me know how it turned out!!
Of course the Eclipse has a mahogany body with quilted maple cap, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard.

I have three eclipses, and they are bright sounding guitars. The one with the maple cap, i liked the chrome covered Dimarzio Air Zone the best on the bridge, and chrome covered EJ Custom Neck. This guitar originally came with a JB/59 combo without covers. I have one with EMG's that i'm going to replace with Motor City Pickups "The Afwayu" (after Wade's recommendation, so i'm really pumped for that one). I play mostly hard rock, classic rock through, tube heads / 4 x 12 cabs. My brightest ESP Eclipse is one without a maple cap, a vintage white, it is BRIGHT! That is the one i struggled with the most. I also has the same dimarzio's but sounds different and brighter than the maple capped one. Hope this helped!

Thanks Checo. I love the vintage white Eclipses.
Let me know how the Motor City Pickups turn out, i am curious about that!

Anyone else?
Or just general comments/predictions?
Should be installed by wednesday, so i will update with my thoughts anyway.

Whoops, forgot to mention that the vintage black and vintage white finished Eclipses that i have are equipped with ebony fingerboards, while the amber sunburst (satin finish) has a rosewood fingerboard. I'll let you know how the Afwayu works out! Thanks!
