    Default TB-14 custom 5 " OH S#$T!"

I just put the TB 14 custom 5 in my super strat Fender floyd rose and man does this thing sound sooooo good! It's arctic white i changed all the hardware to black to make it look more like a highway 1 strat and it looks really cool now. Anyway this might be the best pickup I've ever played on, it is so smooth on one hand and when I switch to one of my higher gain channels it distorts so nice and chunky there is no icepick whatsoever. I dare say that it is the equal to my busrstbucker pros in my 50's neck Les Paul standard and I love those pup's. Great sounding pup for all styles I would think depending on your amp and speakers.

I'm thinking of swapping the JB in my Charvel San Dimas for one of these. Alder body, maple neck, Floyd... hmmmm

I'd say try it, and if you dont care for a-5, you have several more choices: a-2, a-8, ceramic, ect.

I've thought about doing the same. A lot of the custom shop Charvels came stock with the TB-14. I like the JB, too, but if I get tired of it, I'm going with Custom 5 next.

I have had a C5 in my strat for about 8 years or so. It's amazing and I'll never change it!

Before I bought the Fender I was actually thinking of the new Charvel SoCal with JB in the bridge, I had a model 6 back in the day, really sweet guitar, but I couldn't swing the cash right now. This Fender plays really nicely and with TB14 in the bridge it really has some weight to it to my ears. It has a floating floyd rose which will get locked down and I'll add a drop D tuner to it sometime soon.

The C5 is a great PU; very versatile with different magnets. Duncan also uses it with A2's and ceramics, and some users here like it with A8's and A4's. It'll do just about anything you need a high output PU for.

Great with a Ceramic for an outstanding PAF overdrive sound, cleans up a bit with A4.
