    Default Soldering helpers

So, I'm waiting on some Triple Shots and P-Rails and am looking forward to installing them. However, I got to thinking about some of the past amp mods I've done and how frustrating it can be to solder electronics with only two hands. Anyone have any recommendations for things that can help? Maybe some surgery that could add a couple of hands or something?

I always thought that if I did more delicate or complicated soldering that something like this would help...

Yeah, I've seen some things like that...just wondering if the experienced people on here have found things/techniques that are particularly helpful.

I´ve been using one of these for something like 25 years:

Those "helping hands" clippy tools, like these guys are showing, are quite seriously fantastic. The magnifying glass and second sponge pad attachment aren't necessary, but this helps tons.

I use the same one Zerb uses. It works good, but you can't use that inside a guitar or amp unless you make the wires way too long.

any pointers on using one of these? a friend of mine donated one to me but so far i've found it easier to hold the iron in the right hand, wire between the left thumb and middle finger and thread the solder wire through the left middle and index fingers (directing it with the index)..?
