    Default Help please

Hi I bought a seymour duncan ssl-5 custom staggered for strat.
I wanted to use it in the bridge position combined with the other 2 original fender singlecoils in my am std strat.

First i connected the black wire to the ground and the white wire to the selector switch. NO sound at all.
so I read somewhere that I should reverse the black and white wires when combining seymour duncan pickups with fender pickups.
Then it worked out, and it works well in the position 5 on the selector switch. But in position 4, when the middle and bridge pickup are used together the sound is all thin and wimpy...
So what could be the problem now, and what can I do!
    Kind regards Thomas

reverse the wires again, i'm guessing you just didn't get a good connection the first time, and the second time you wired it out of phase. and welcome to the forum
