Stoner Rock and Stoner Metal are interchangeable terms describing sub-genres of rock and metal music. Stoner rock is typically slow-to-mid tempo, low-tuned and bass-heavy. It incorporates elements of Psychedelic Rock, Blues-Rock and Doom Metal into a more repetitive and riff-centred style. Melodic vocals and 'retro' production are also common traits.

I'd say, IF you have an AC30TB, you are save, and can deff get that tone - no problem !

..he's very fond of AC 30's (Daniel will typically run stereo into 2 British Vox AC30TB’s (Top Boost))....from what I can gather he uses Gibson Burstbuckers.

In discussions related to him people talk about brightening up thier LP, which I'm no expert at...just found these in a discusions related to him.

(this list is BY NO MEANS indicative of things Daniel has done..just might help you get that tone).

Lower the pickups and raise the adjustment screws.
    Install a treble bleed cap.
Install the RS kit or 50's wiring mod.
    Real 500K pots.
    Aluminum stop bar.
    Steel studs and different strings.

A list of his gear as of 05/09
    Guitars
Jerry Jones neptune shortie 12 sting guitar
    Custom made Nash Telecaster
    1976 standard Gibson Les-paul
    Epiphone Casino x3
    Gretsch Country Classic

    PedalBoard
    Ernieball Volume Pedal
    True bypass Switcher
    Diamond Compressor
    Xotic AC booster
    Fulltone Fulldrive 2
    BBE Sonic Stomp Maximizer
    Boss RV-5 Digital Reverb
    Boss DD-5 Digital delay
    Boss DD-20 Digital Delay
    Line 6 DL-4 Delay moduler
    Boss TU-2 Tuner
    Voodoo lab pedal power 2+
    Visual sound 1Spot

    Amps
    Fender 1965 Princeton Reverb
    Vox AC-30 1990’s Reissue
Oh yeah and that so called fancy box on top of Daniel’s AC-30 is just an attenuator made by Ultimate.

    WOW . . . GOOD WORK !

    Some nice info here !

This guy has the Edge tone completely nailed. I wonder how much of his drive is coming from the AC30, and how much of it is from some combination of pedals.
