I need help choosing some new pups!

Hi all,

I'm looking at changing the pup on my 1994 Epiphone Les Paul but am stuck between two choices and can't make up my mind which way to go.

I currently have a Screamin' Demon in the bridge and the stock pup in the neck and am going to put the Demon in my Jackson which currently has an SH-6 in it.

Anyways, I'm looking at taking both of these out and replacing them with an APH -1b and an APH-1n or with an SH-4 and an SH-2b.

I mainly use the guitar for rock like Guns N' Roses (hence the thought of the APH pups), but sometimes use it for more heavier stuff like Queens of the Stone age.

What do you guys think, would really appreciate your views and advice on this one.

I've got a Marshall AVT150 and I run through a few pedals - Wah, EQ, Distortion, Chorus and Delay.

I've also ordered a four matched 500k pots and was wondering whether it was actually worth me paying the extra to get matched ones?

Actually, You might dig the A2P/CC combo. What I refer to as the "Fat City" combo. However- the mega mids on the CC will really cut in a great classic rock way. Be sure to crank the poles up a touch on the treble side and you'll be good.

Are you guys saying that the ideal set up would be an SH-14 Custom 5 in the neck and an A2P in the neck?

sh 11 Custom custom (alnico 2 mag) would probably match better than custom 5 (alnico 5 mag) (sh14) with the a2p. At least it was with my pearly gates neck, in my tele.
