I just got an email ship confirmation from Wymore that my cream triple shot rings for an arch top guitar shipped today.

Sorry false alarm. It was a partial shipment of other items in my order but not the cream triple shots.

Yeah I'd say that's a bit harsh. Maybe you need to go the Do-It-Yourself route if it means that much to you, or a therapist.

Be patient. The people at Duncan have a million things to worry about and creme Triple Shots may not be top priority on the list. They're working on it, so it might be wise for you to stop biting the hand that feeds.

In our shop, the "Chimp factor" is the exact reason why operators don't do the adjusting. Far better if they just concentrate on opening the door and grabbing the part. Then they can look at the part and trimm what ever needs trimming. Never a good idea to let them touch the controls!!!

On topic, I'm thinking I'm going to have to pick up one or two of the cream ones when they come out!!

I used to do injection molding, and we were trained to adjust those controls until we got good parts, and as close to 400 shots per shift as we could.

The maintenance crew didn't want to hear about petty stuff like that.

Of course we are. I'm at NAMM right now, but when I get back I'll check the status. The second batch of cream looked good to us. There is always a little difference from batch to batch, so basically you have to pick one that is going to "match" everything. Gibson's cream is all over the place. I've seen Les Pauls where the bobbin doesn't match the ring, and neither of them match the pickguard, and even the binding seems to be different, although that could be because of the nitro. So we want the Triple Shot to match our pickups, but even the P-Rails vs. humbucker bobbin there is a slight difference because of the thickness of the material. If you look at them on the guitar, you'll see them as the same color, but if you really looked at the raw plastic parts by themselves, you can sometimes see a little difference in certain lighting.

Anyway Brandon is not entirely correct in saying they haven't been ordered. He means they're not on the way as of today. They've been ordered since the springtime, but ordered on the contingency that the color is right. This is the approval and delivery process. I assure you we're moving as fast as we can. I have a couple guitars waiting for them too!

Frank, LP plastics are a total nightmare. Like you mention above the colors are all over the place (and are in most cases hideous pink). Boutique vendors charge $130 and up for a set of pickup rings in a decent cream color. Since you guys are going through the trouble of gettnig a nice shade of cream, any plans to offer standard cream pickups rings in the proper vintage LP height?

Not any time soon, but it's not impossible. Meanwhile, we have been shipping cream Triple Shots for awhile now. I appologize if I didn't come into the right threads and announce or confirm it. I was actually out of the office when they started shipping.
