Anyone else who is in the Melbourne or surrounding area, there's still time to get in touch and come along tomorrow afternoon and meet up with a few forum folk. All you have to do is post in this thread and someone will give you the details.

wahwah, on gigging in the UAE:
It was refreshing to see Australians abroad, sober. I almost didn't recognise them.

When this forum talks about getting wood, we're usually thinking of flamed maple.

I reckon I might send Lizzie a bill for back rent. The old girl's family have been living in my bloody castle for the last 500 years.

yeah it could be worse i guess.
can't make assumptions about the drinking volume but i am a thirsty man, generally speaking. very keen for the next one...

Well I got out of bed at midday, and had to take a sickie!
It was a GREAT meet and greet and Crusty, I thinks should run for Prime Minister!!!!
The four of us suspects that have posting were all there and I invited my
retired neighbour whom I jam with when our little street gets quiet.
Crusty took some pics of this motley crew and I'm sure he'll post tonight.
Harry was the young gun with his seven stringer and all of us dragged out some real nice gear. Pontiac Jack had this crazy little Aussie made 5 watt
amp that farted and spluttered for the first 5 minutes and then.......FAAAARK!
what a monster. He and I have this Profile strat that he's just done up and
what a killer. Crusty's strat and tele were to die for, but, that little amp
of his is really something to behold!! If you remember about his earlier threads
about recording, why woold anyone insist he go for anything but his own sound!
I had my my Deville and little Laney VC 15 along with some real nice strats,
holoowbodies, SG and others.
Haryy was a kid in the LOLLY SHOP!! and of course had to put up with
middle aged men antics!
I had a FRIGGIN BALLand I'm sure the lads did also.
I'm sure they'll post, and do beware of the pics, judging by how I feel today,
they aint gonna be pretty!
One thing that has really proven itself to me is the friendship and community
of this little forum we call home. It really is a credit to the members and the company
that produces the products that we all love.(BTW Maricella, can I have 300 extra turns on my staples?)
Peace
Will
