    Default 59n vs PGn

So I love my 59 neck but sometimes its just a little TOO glassy and pristine, a little dirt and grit would be nice. Would that point towards the PGn??

a little more midrange honk to it. Not as big and smooth bass.

That would point me to putting an A2 or A4 in my '59N. Why not try that? If you need an A2, PM me.

Big fan of the PGn in a Les Paul. Perfect neck pickup to compliment a BroBucker.

I also like a 59n, but find that it can be a little undefined (muddy) in the wrong guitar.

A PG should be the standard issue for an LP neck pup IMO. But by grit, do you mean ourtput? I don't think so. The PG has little bit of "hair" on the top end at any volume. It's the nature of the tone.

I think you'd like it. But for a few pennies, an a2 59 will be a little bit that way.

I don't know if you'll get grit from a mag swap, but if you will, I'd think an A3 would be the best bet.
