Question Wiring diagram foar Invader on an Ibanez S320

I just look for the right diagram for installing a Duncan Seymour Invader in the bridge of my Ibanez S320. I had a look upon the diagrams on the Seymour Duncan web site, unfortunately I couldn't find out which one is the right one for me.

I know there are many types of 5 way switch so I couldn't make it sure which one is the right diagram for me.

Please help me. I am desperate to install this pickup. I already have it for one month and couldn't install it yet.

Maybe I am an idiot but I need some arrows to point the kitchen for me.

    Thank You.

No one has an idea about how to connect that Invader in the bridge of my Ibanez S320?

I'll never buy a Seymour Duncan because the diagrams for wiring them on Ibanez guitars like mine are so hard to find.

I did a big mistake when I bought Seymour Duncan pups.

Wow, you know, unless we know what type of 5-way switch you have, we can't help you. There's no need to get upset with Duncan for something that's your fault.

What does the switch do in position 2/3/4? I would imagine 1/5 would be full humbucker. If we know what the switch does in each position we can guess what goes where. Buying a Duncan is no more a mistake than buying a Dimarzio. It's not like one is made for your guitar and not the other.

I'm going out on a limb here and say he already removed the old pickup and didn't write down where the wires were connected, and/or can't compare the Ibenhad and Duncan diagrams to figure out what colors get swapped out.

Here's my guess based on the original diagram translated to SD colors. If this doesn't work you may need a new switch. If you get a new switch you can decide what you want the positions to do rather than use Ibby's options http://www.guitarelectronics.com/cat...ckup_diagrams/.

Thanks. I wired it according to a DiMarzio diagram and only one coil was working in the Duncan. I was very very upset.

This diagram made it clear for me. The red from DiMarzio fits the black from Duncan and vice-versa. Now it works very nice. I love it.

    Thank You very much.

I was very upset because I had it for 1 month and I couldn't find the diagrams.

    Thank you.

Two identical diagrams from different perspectives.

Need help for this s320 wiring also, but I can't find Isnogoods diagrams?

Anyways, I tried to install DiMarzio instead of Ibanez stock INF2 in the bridge, and I'm not sure if I got the colors right:

    INF2:

    south start -blue
    south finish - white
    north start - red
    north finish - black

So that conversion code would be:

    INF2>DiMarzio

    blue > green
    white > white
    black > black
    red > red

Does anyone know how that 5-way, 8-pin Ibanez switch operates. Problem is that s320 has quite unusual wiring combination, and I can't work it out from the guitar itself. Which pins are out, and which are short circuited at the certain positions of the lever?

Nice Thanx for the extremely quick reply. Those diagrams are just everything I needed. It's mucho late here, so I'll probably experiment with the sound tomorrow, and hope to get even more entertainment when I get a good neck pickup in a month or two

you can also take a multimeter to test yours yourself

they are divided left and right like the strat switches

Mine is like this. Output Hot- goes to volume pot.
Set of INF pickups in S320.

    neck - red is grounded
    bridge - blue is grounded

p.s. I know I could do it with multimeter, but I was kinda hoping to get the diagram (that you posted, thankfully) , so that I should not have to dig out all the electronic from the cavity

ya aint gotta dig em out

the meter leads should reach in

I did mine while still attached as in the first pick
    whilst I changed pickups

well I did have the pickups off at the time

    meter to ohms

put switch all the way in one direction

    lead on left most terminal
test to 7 terminals to the right - take notes
lead on second from left most terminal
test to 6 terminals to the right - take notes
    etc

    switch to next position
    repeat

    make nice clear drawing
    post on favorite forum

    EDIT
the first drawing was from my RG2EX1
two hums + 5 way switch
    it had the V7 & V8 pickups
    slightly different from the INFs

    EDIT of EDIT
yea looks like yours was set up like mine

    neck
    neck in parallel
    both
    bridge split
    bridge

    same jumper and all

    terminal 5 from left
mine had combined these two in the sheath of wire and only brought the one white down

the left 4 terminals are your pickup hot selections
and the right is the coils split/parallel connections
