I love JBs, I love 59s, I love APHs and many others...
But there is something about the meat and midrange punch of my Dimarzio Norton, that I can't seem to get with any of the Duncans I've tried...
So what Duncans are as fat and juicy as DImarzios?

custom 5/full shred, DD and phat cats come to mind
the norton's dual-resonance... closest SD would be a 59/custom combo but i've not tried it
a custom/jb hybrid with a ceramic mag is an absolute beast though, tried one of those?

To me, the previously posted Duncans are not fat and juicy.
Fat and juicy, Any of the PATB's and the Custom Custom are plenty fat and juicy.

i really need to try a PATB.
i'm leaning more towards a lot of lows and highs that still have definition i guess.
if juicy fat is what you seek, CC via dirt box and a pushed amp is hard to beat

Custom Custom has all over the Norton.

P-Rails in series & Alternative 8 both live in that territory.

The Alt 8 for sure.
Invader... more bottom and midrange than you need

The Norton is a unique Dimarzio product, and other pickup companies are not necessarily in business to offer a counterpart to every model that their competitors make.
There are fat, midrangey Duncans. The PATB1 and Custom Custom were already mentioned, and I'd agree those are fat sounding pickups. I'd also add the Custom. The Custom has a bit of that Boston lower mid boost thing going.
But note that the Custom is described as a hot (very hot) PAF type sound, and the Custom Custom is also based on a vintage tone, with a smooth vintage high end but more output and mids. The Norton isn't a variation on any vintage pickup or tone.

As mentioned, the pickups in the OP are all particularly bright and/or scooped.
It is true that for some probably very interesting reason most DiMarzios have a low-mid EQ push compared to most Seymour Duncans.
This is probably the main reason why people say that Duncans make the guitar shine through more and DiMarzios do more coloring on your own. That low-mod push can be very important to make a guitar sound "round" and full if it doesn't do that by itself.

I didn't say "no midrange". I said "no weird low-mids boost"
The '78 is certainly a real killer when it comes to full-range balanced but bright pickups. Or the Brobucker if you like it a little fatter.

I have to warn you that if you played the DiMarzios for too long and don't actively dislike them then your idea about what is "right" will have adjusted.
