wanted to introduce myself

Hi,

I just recently signed up for the forum, and wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Doug, and I live in Maryland. I just started playing my guitars again after a 6 year hiatusand found this forum. I worked in a music store for 7 years after high school, and also played in a couple of local bands.

I recently replaced the pickups in one of my strats with SSL-1's and can't believe I never tried them before. I guess I thought that they would be too close to the stock Am Std pickups... boy was I wrong. It seems like I tried everything else.

I've also got a Charvel San Dimas with a TB-5 in the bridge, and a US Lone Star Strat with the stock PG+ pickup.

I'd like to sell my old strat pickups (Dimarzio VV 2.1 and 2.2), and would also like to trade my TB-5 for a TB-12. I posted ads in the Trading Post.

Welcome Doug, I'm one of the small but distinguished Brit community on this forum. We're a bit like Americans but with better musical tastes and worse teeth. I'm sure you're going to make a lot of friends, have a lot of fun and more than a few arguments about whether the JB is a good pickup or not.

Welcome bro! I too have just discovered the SSL-1. It makes one hell of a neck pickup.
