    Default A2pro to jazz conversion

i have an alnico 2 pro humbucker in ther neck of my schecter c-1 and thinking of converting it to a jazz for a clearer ,less dark tone.

ive read somewhere that they are basicly the same(except for the magnet type),is this true?

if so,will i have to switch only the magnets from A2 to A5,or something else as well?

The A2 Pro with an A5 magnet sure didnt sound like a Jazz to me.

Jazz and APH are definitely not the same thing.

A Bridge APH with A5 sounds like a 59 but apparently the neck doesn't (didn't try the neck).

I tested a Jazz with all Alnico variants. All but A5 sound like wack. A2 doesn't sound close to the APH.

I support the theory that this is a very special wind and possibly awg43. It is not something close to a PAF coil setup.

I very seriously doubt the jazz is 43 or it would sound a lot weaker. Maaaaybe 42.5 if Duncan uses such a gauge (which does exist). I figure it's just a brighter wind pattern.
