hey Benjy do you have yours split/tapped for single coil use?
If so , does this take anything away from its power/character in humbucking mode?
    thanks

so would a custom custom be good in a 24 fret, mahognay/maple, floyd rose guitar? i've been looking for a while and i need one for that guitar. i need to be able to play a pretty big variety of stuff, so i need a nice bridge pickup for both rhythm, lead, whatver work!! could the custom custom be what im looking for?

I split mine with the stock Carvin mini switch (using SD schematics) and it does not affect the humbucking sound at all. BTW, the Split sound is very useable, clean or dirty.

Moom, I think that the CC is worth a try in a guitar like the one you just described. If it's not your cup of tea, you can always swap magnets and turn it into aeither a Custom or a C5.
