I really don't remember. It was at least 2 years before we left the Yabb forum, but I'm not certain. I wanna say it was around the time I started my ebay account, but that was in 2000.
It was long before Scott_F and Robert were admins, methinks. Robert used to post more before he climbed to his lofty perch as forum boss.
It took me a couple of months to figure out that the SoundRoom was aplace.

i was going to say it was some time around '03 when i got my p-bass special that caused me to join, but i distinctly remember scott nuking the whole forum. so i would have been 15.
as you can see, i was around alot more on the old board. when it switched, i quit posting as much and concentrated more on playing/working/reading. i had become pretty addicted to this place.
but it never fails, even if i haven't been around for a while, i can come back with any question and have it answered quickly and (usually) correctly.

I was trying to wire up my first ever pickup, a DiMarzio Tone Zone, but DiMarzio's website was terrible. Came here, got some advice and schematics, and have hung around ever since.
Tried Duncan designed pickups and love them so next replacement is going to be a SD (probably the EVH replica).

I joined in... look under my avatar, heheh. Yeah it was a long time ago. It all started with some demo clips of pickups and getting a '54 telecaster bridge pickup for my yamaha pacifica tele. Then, like 16 guitars and 3 amps later, here we are.

'96.. Crazy. I can slightly remember the first time I entered the Internet, that was around that time, pretty sure it was 1996. The websites were so simple, and took forever, and some more, to load.
I recall looking at a webcam from New York or something, extremely poor video quality, but that didn't matter anyway, because it was completely dark outside at the time. But I kept staring at the screen, amazed, and imagining how life must be on the completely other side of the world at the time when I was fully awake, with sunlight outside..
Hey, I was 9 years old, simple joys right?![]()

Only two and a half years! Apparently on my friend's twenty-first birthday. Interesting.

I joined in 2002 on the board prior to this one. I had a question about coil splits in a Les Paul. Got some prompt and helpful replies from guys called jeremy and Robert.

That is correct.
I remember when it was just like hardly none of us. That was fun...lol. I remember when we finally went over to that one board...Rodney Gene gave Jeremy like an immediate 5000 post count.....cause he'd already answered 50,000 posts on the old timey board...lol.
