Default Soundclick and the MILF song

Right now whenever I open the player for any of my tunes on the player across the top is a link to CRGruve 06 MILF song .
Here I am sending out a worship tune to a fellow worship guitarist and on the top of the player every time you play the tune is a link to a song about somebodys mother they want to ----well!!
Anybody else seeing this on the Soundclick player? If so how do we protest!!!

I'm fairly certain that whoever pays for the promo can put precisely whatever the **** they want to up there.

OMG! People are saying things we don't want them to say! This is double-plus un-good! Quick! Call the thought police!

If you're really that concerned about it, why not just send them an MP3?

That's the diff between "free" and "sponsored". The guy paid for the privilege of imposing his link on the rest of Soundclick. You think your uploads and downloads are free, but he's the guy paying for them. It may not be fair to you, considering your subject matter.

Inspirational/gospel music has strong support worldwide; perhaps there's a more suitable P2P site for you, without the content you object to. Ask around and see if anyone knows of such.

edit: FWIW, IDK anywhere like that. *duhh*

I support the ability to post what ever the guy wants --. I just resent HIS free speech appearing on all MY stuff.
You can bet if a Christian song was in that slot all HELL would break loose!
This is not about free speech but about context and respect for others!
I'll respect yours and expect you to respect mine end of story.
It's the context here that I take exception to. Now ya gotta admit my sending a Worship clip to a fellow worship player then have this clip listed above every time someone opens the player to listen to my stuff is a little defiling.
The outcry would be deafening if something like THIS for example was up there on every player instead of that tune http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mQkFxfyHgMk

Advertising keeps the site free. If you do not like it I'm sure there are plenty of other sites where you could upload songs that don't include advertising.

Unless you pay for a service, I find it hard to accept any complaints. I see this all the time when people expect free services to be available 100% of the time. And that's not directed at you, that is just a general statement.

If I saw an advertisement for a MILF song or religious song, it wouldn't bother me either way. I just move on.

edit: I guess I'm with ginormous on this

I doubt it. Most people can dig Johnny Cash and that's an awesome version of that tune.

I seriously, seriously doubt it. I mean, how many billboards do you see saying "Jesus is the Answer" and crap like that? Heck, you people are putting creationism in science classrooms. Stop spazzing about stuff that doesn't happen.

I'm with you, man! The whole arrangement of social convention in this context is totally lopsided. I wonder if the song is available on CCLI? That may be a way of getting the info to your friend.
I started out with nothing...and I still have most of it left.

Allow me to rephrase; this isn't about religion or freedom of speech, it's that Soundclick allows people to pay for links to appear on all songs.

Well, I'd expect there would be some who object to it, just as you object to the link in question.

In this case, the context is the Soundclick website, which supports its file sharing system with advertising and sponsorship. They have respect for those who pay money to post ads and sponsor links. They don't care if its' gospel, death metal or "smack that booty" rap music.

Now ya gotta admit my sending a Worship clip to a fellow worship player then have this clip listed above every time someone opens the player to listen to my stuff is a little defiling.
I grant that it's quite embarrassing, and counterproductive to your attempt to spread "the news". I understand where that's coming from.

It's interesting that you bring up YouTube. They have sponsored video links on every page, on every video. It doesn't matter whether you are looking up Ray Charles or "keyboard cat". For example, yesterday I was searching for Motown artist TV appearance clips, and every 'search results' page had "Miley Cyrus/making of Hannah Montana video" links.

Now, Miley Cyrus wasn't around for the golden age of Detroit R&B, nor was her father. The concept of music video wasn't even considered back then. So what did that link have to do with my search results? It had to do with the fact that Disney paid YouTube a boatload of money to get that link on everyone's search page. I didn't care for that happening while I was trying to get my Temptations groove on, but I had no control over it, so I didn't click on the link.

It was totally ramdom that the link you objected to came up on the screen, but that was no reflection on you or your music.

Okay. Quick show of hands...who doesn't like any form of music that encourages the smacking of "that booty" ?

Everyone is tempted, including your church guitarist. It's just the Devil sending a little naughty in the form of the MILF song. As long as the guitarist doesn't actually go find one and do what he is thinking, it'll be ok. Ask yourself - what would Jesus do? Would he judge the MILFs or the MILF song, or blame them for their hotness? I think not. In fact, he'd be hanging with the MILF's in all liklihood. Why? Because they are hawt and need saved. Now - if he was there at 10 in the morning and your guitar player showed up....that's another story. Just ignore the devil - (and the MILF song).
