Yup, "Angus in a Box" seems to be the consensus on it.

Stoner Rock and Stoner Metal are interchangeable terms describing sub-genres of rock and metal music. Stoner rock is typically slow-to-mid tempo, low-tuned and bass-heavy. It incorporates elements of Psychedelic Rock, Blues-Rock and Doom Metal into a more repetitive and riff-centred style. Melodic vocals and 'retro' production are also common traits.

Gibson made him one, along with his sig SG. He's always used stock Gibson pups to the best of my knowledge.

I think the closest to a Angus 'signature' in the SD line would be the '59 neck in both neck and bridge. Probably closest thing to at t-top. I've got a 59 set in an SG and lately I find myself thinking the bridge is too hot, can you believe that? And that's straight into the amp. I sincerely think I'm going to get another 59n and replace it.

I would think they'd be close to the same output man...one's just EQ'd for the bridge spot.

Did you try lowering the pickup first?

+1, lower it and raise the poles a little if you haven't already; the difference in the 59s' winds won't amount to that much output

Why would you want to sound like Angus Young in the first place?
Im very easy to satisfy; just give me a '58 Les Paul, a '52 Fender Tele w/ Bigsby, a '63 Gibson ES-335, a '62 Marshall JTM45, a '59 Fender Bassman, and a dozen or so assorted vintage Fender blackfaces and tweeds to play through and Ill be just fine

No I wouldnt want to sound like him; its about the most bland chunky crunch tone ever recorded with. Sorry, never got the alternating and direct currents obsession lol. Others get it, but I cant.... my loss I suppose, but I think I"ll be ok.

Yeah actually they do sound different to me. Angus has a much more chunky edgy tone whereas in comparison Page is generally a bit brighter and smoother. I dont think they sound at all similar other than the type of pickups they use...
