What they're missing --
A decent camera
singing lessons
the lyrics to the song

You gotta wonder why they thought they'd practiced that enough before playing it in front of people.
Truly awful. The female backing vocalist seems the only one who knew what notes to hit.

I used to suck that bad too!...........//////.............In 7th grade!

You guys, quit making fun of my band!

hehe, that was pretty bad, the dude's voice is way too low. The singer in my band just got married, he said his wife to be's favorite karaoke song is Sweet child of Mine. Since we were playing 5 songs, he wanted us to learn it to surprise her for the final song of the night. We did our short set and he called her up, even gave her the words in case she forgot...we had another song just in case she backed out...she was a good sport and IMO she rocked it. Not bad for 3 practices (without her knowing and in the key of E) and this is the kind of song with so many 'signature' riffs, ya don't wanna mess with it too much. I'm playing rhythm on the LP and do one of the solos...Clarence is much better at the Slash riffs.

Gibson KS 336, LP Standard, Special and Customs
Bogner, Orange, Tech 21 and Fender amps
Celestion speakers
Duncan, Bare Knuckle, WCR and Gibson pups
Too many pedals....

The thing I was talking about is the guitarist is missing some notes on the beginning riff.![]()
I thought everyone knew that correctly. I do not expect guitarists to do the song note for note, as I never could do that, but at least you get the parts correct that have to be there to recognize the song.

This is the load that cover bands must bear, Dan. If we don't pull off the notes exactly like on the original hit recording, we are deemed "unworthy of tippage".

Speaking of "Sweet Child O' Mine" covers and muffing up the riffs and lyrics,
here's an oldie & goodie: Kelly Clarkson with cover band "Metal Skool" and
the dude from Yellowcard (VIDEO LINK)--she's sounds great in spite of being wasted!
