I was considering the SD Hot Stack in the bridge position of my s/s/s strat....but I am undecided. I play through a Vox AD100VT....I play mostly vintage rock....AC/DC, ZZ Top, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Van Halen etc... and some 80's hair band stuff.....Warrant, Motley Crue, White Lion, etc....I want a beefier tone but I don't want anything bass heavy or muddy. I have listened to the sound samples from the SD site but after about the third sample, they all start to sound the same. Some people have recommended the SD Hot Rails or the Dimarzio Fast Track but I am afraid they will sound brittle and buzzy due to the high output. What are thoughts on the SD Hot Stack? Do you think it would suit my "style" of music? I want to be able to get a heavy rock sound from my bridge PU and switch to the neck for the clean bell like twang of a single coil.
