I have a 59 in both neck and bridge of my washburn 335 copy. The neck just sounds too dark to me for jazzier type music. Is there a way to kick up the treble just a notch with another pu or tone cap change?
Thanks
Rut

You can try lowering the neck PU and raising the pole pieces, which will then favor one coil, and brighten it a little.
Another non-electrical thing would be putting in an A3, which is a relatively bright manget, but without the strong low end of the A5 that's in there now.

First check out the resistance of your pots for the neck. If they are lower than 500k, change them to 500k. Second you can disconnet the the tone pot (who wants a tone pot for an already dark pickup), this brightens the pickup a little to. Third change the A5 magnet to an A4.
Thats all i did with my LP, its now as i like it.
