no on the floyd. I say just either block the trem or use the one you've got.

    (i'm a kahler guy personally...)

looks nice! although I would have opted for a dimarzio X2N if I wanted an extremely high output pickup in alder... I REALLY don't dig the dimebucker... it's too thin and treble overloaded to my ears... the other two pickups are great. and ignore me if you love duncans and hate dimarzios... i'm a dimarzio fanboy. lol

Floyd is a pain to set up but Mick will tell you it kicks ass. Don't care for the music but god that guitar gives me G.A.S.

    Whatever that is...

I like a Floyd for the tone. I have them on several guitars but don't use the arm; it's just a great-sounding rock n' roll bridge. I've replaced the licensed trems on guitars where I never even used the trem, just to get the tone.

I always loved the vintage hot rod look, much like Lukes cut up 57. Good work man, and no to the Floyd. Unless you have a good amount of woodworking and routing knowledge, or have a heavy pocket book.

Well, you sure don't get the vintage mojo points with a Floyd. Ed didn't have one when he recorded that first album that everyone's trying to nail the tone from.

I think the vintage-style trem looks really good on that guitar, Earthling.

I was speaking strictly because it's not just a "drop in" kind of thing. Routing must be done, and it has to be right the first time. There's no do overs. Personally, I charge 250 to route for a floyd, and that doesn't include the bridge.

If you want a floyd, fender has several floyd'd strats out there that can be had for cheap. Grab one and mod to tell.

I'll stick with my rosewood, ebony, and ivory.

That would be weird, taking a guitar you know and like, then routing it for a Floyd. It would change the tone in so many ways. How do you know it would even seem like the same guitar?

Stoner Rock and Stoner Metal are interchangeable terms describing sub-genres of rock and metal music. Stoner rock is typically slow-to-mid tempo, low-tuned and bass-heavy. It incorporates elements of Psychedelic Rock, Blues-Rock and Doom Metal into a more repetitive and riff-centred style. Melodic vocals and 'retro' production are also common traits.

Don't install a floyd. It ruins the "look" and I personally don't like the sound of them.

I don't think he gets vintage mojo with rails either. just saying. Although a Floyd might be overdoing it.
