Stoner Rock and Stoner Metal are interchangeable terms describing sub-genres of rock and metal music. Stoner rock is typically slow-to-mid tempo, low-tuned and bass-heavy. It incorporates elements of Psychedelic Rock, Blues-Rock and Doom Metal into a more repetitive and riff-centred style. Melodic vocals and 'retro' production are also common traits.

This A2P thing has got me wondering if anything we hear about how artists create their tone is bankable -- especially their official or unofficial signature product. I think from now on, I'll just start grabbing products at random to see what sounds like what I want.

That's the spirit.
Cause an artist pickup doesn't have artist effects on it. And get an A2P sometime. It is GODLY.

I did get one in the bridge of my little Epiphone. I really like it for heavy blues, rock, and for GNR-type rhythm -- which I find impossible to play but have fun trying anyway.

Well GnR rhythm isn't too hard to do if you really listen to the drums and work on that right hand. Although no rhythm is hard if you do that anyways...

I reckon I might send Lizzie a bill for back rent. The old girl's family have been living in my bloody castle for the last 500 years.

Have you priced a R9? if you could get one for for 2K+ instead of 5K+ I'd have one of them and consider a Slash too! lol
See above!I'm a fan of his music but I'd rather get another 2K+ Gibson.
I'm with you, however they're in the business of selling NEW pickups, not old ones. It behooves them to downplay the vintage ones.I'm still interested in the specs, though. Some people here say there isn't any real mojo in vintage SD pups (including some from the SD customer support).

You'll use it, boy, and as long as you hate using it, you will use it more wisely than most men would. Wait. If ever you don't hate it any longer, then will be the time to throw it as far as you can and run the other way.”
