James Burton Tele has new pups

I posted last week looking for advice for my James Burton. Based on the feedback and the "Ultimate Tele" post as a resource I went with the Jerry Donahue bridge and a vintage neck- Boy what a difference!

The JD was just as advertised with good output, nice mids and a little warmer than "vintage" tele tone. It's perfect and pinch harmonics really scream which is something that the stock pickup didn't deliver. In fact, I find myself hitting pinch harmonics on accident and those are my favorite kind. It's just a great sounding pickup.

I'm also happy with the vintage neck. I know I would probably like the Antiquity better but I was watching the budget on this guitar and this neck pickup is real solid. It's much more crisp and open souinding than the stock fender allowing more use of the tone control. I had a little trouble with feedback so I just lowered it a little and it seems to have solved the problem.

All in all, I got the tone I was looking for so thanks for the help.
