Default Demon Vs. Full Shred (bridge debate)

Anyone with a PRS/Gibson style guitar tried both?
I'm trying to match a Full Shred neck and these 2 seem to be the frontrunners if I don't just suck it up and shell out the cash for
    an 11K Brobucker.

    Full Shred (14.6K, A5, 4/4/8)

    Screamin Demon (10K, A5, 5/4/9)

BTW any detailed opinions on the Brobucker would also help.

    Thanks Fellas

OK, those 2 are somewhat alike in some respects but, the brobucker will be way different than either. What are you trying to go for???

IMO the demon is the bastard son of the full shred and a filtertron - it rules.

the full shred's basically a custom 5 with 2 rows of allen poles - it's thick, it cuts and it sounds relatively crap clean.

    demon FTW

EDIT - i'm playing 11s on an LP so the customs often sound too thick in this set-up

Give me the best description of the Brobucker. It's been bugging me for awhile that there is no tonechart for the CS models.
I usually favor A5, lots of bass, little or no mids, and highs at about 7.

My concern with the Full shred is that it may not have enough lows.

My concern with the Demon is that it may not be hot enough.
(I like 11.5-14.5K in the bridge)

In Gibson/PRS maple mahogany guitars, the Custom 5 will make you feel like you spent your money wisely. IMO, it's voiced nicer than the Demon or Fullshred.

The Brobucker sits somewhere in between the 59B and Custom 5. Sort of like a slightly more vintage PAF'ey Custom 5. Even still, I think the C5 is the pickup you're looking for, based on your description of tight heavy bass, neutral mids, and treble on 7. The C5 sits perfectly in the Gibson/Marshall equation.

IMHO I see the Screaming Demon as being a cross between a '59 and a Full Shred. the Bro is more an overwound '59 and should give you a fatter, warmer sound than either. If your using heavy distortion and want a vintage sound, I'd go for the SD. If your using heavy distortion and want a thicker, more modern sound, I'd go with the FS. The SD and FS seem to be designed to sound good thru lots of harmonic enhancement. The Bro. could get a little "less defined" with lots of dirt.

The Custom 5 is currently my fave and in the bridge of my main guitar.
I'm looking for something with a little less gain and a little more expressive for this other guitar (the same model, see signature)
As you can see in my signature, I already have the Full Shred neck and I've narrowed it down to Demon, Full Shred Bridge, or Brobucker for the bridge.

Thanks for reccomending the C5, I love it too.
