Stacked singles?

Just had an idea ... and a question for those in the know

Would the customshop do a stacked singlecoil version of
a humbucker from the productionline ?

I know there's mini-versions of some of the humbuckers
but I like the look of singlecoils

Part of what makes humbuckers sound different than single coils is thier larger apature, which is the area of the string that the pickup "sees". The reason for making a stacked humbucker was to create a humbucking pickup with a narrow apature so that it would sound like a true single coil. Trying to create a stacked single that sounds like a humbucker is seems sort of counter-intuitive to me.

It wouldn't hurt to call and ask I guess and I am sure MJ could come up with something hotter and darker than what is currently offered but I don't know that you will get a stacked single to sound like a JB or any other humbucker. It's a physics thing.

Then again, I have been wrong about what MJ can pull out of her magic bag before...

maybe I should rephrase the question?

without regards to how the 'bucker version sounds,
would it be possible to take a, let's say JB since you brought it up ,
and stack it?

yeah but it wouldnt sound the same. you could gety close but youd still be able to tell the difference
