I got this Talman about 3 weeks ago on a trade and have about $50 bucks in it. I was planning on reselling it, but the more I played with it, the more I liked it, so I decided to keep it. The neck profile is really close to a Les Paul. I have put brass bridge pins on it and changed over to Martin Silk & Steel strings. I dig the mellow fingerpicking tones I get from it.

And this is the $75 Simon & Patrick I scored the other day. It's a freakin' cannon!

I never fly because the Lord said: "Low, and I will be with thee."

I don't have a seperate picture of it so here it is with my LP.
Suzuki Hummingbird copy. I bought it brand new in 79. It has an ivory nut which I fitted not long after getting it. It has been restained and refretted and new scratch plate.[About 4 years ago.]

left to right: Regal RC-51 tricone resonator, Taylor 455ce 12-string, Sigma DM-19 (got it in 1982 when I had my first summer job, this guitar has a beautiful dark sound and sounds better than a lot of Martins. I've done a gazillion gigs w/ it and it desperately needs a fret job, but there's never time to give it up.), top= Fender mandolin (wait... is that a duckbucker? yes it is.)

I have more acoustic guitars than electric guitars. My favorites are Taylor and National. I've owned Collings, Gibsons, Martins and Guilds. These days all I have are my Taylors and my National Vintage Steel Tricone. The back photos show the Brazillian rosewood backs of my Taylor 710 and 810 and the Indian rosewood back of my 910C. The photo of the Nationals shows my Vintage Steel Tricone which I still have and the National Delphi I sold about one month ago.

Weird guitar: has a one-piece flame maple arched back. That's a lot of information all in one sentence - let it sink in.

Believe me when I say that some of the most amazing music in history was made on equipment that's not as good as what you own right now.

Here's mine. She may not be a Martin, but she's got that perfect low end rumble that I love in a good, powerful dreadnought body. spruce top and mahogany sides, and something happened along the way to make it perfect for me, and then fate conspired to bring me to it. She was me first guitar, and I still play her all the time. Good strong workhorse of an instrument. I think she's better than some Martins, although Martin has some **** good instruments.

    New quote finally:

Here's my old Aria acoustic. Pretty good playing guitar too!

You can run over a Tele with a pickup truck, pick it up - and it'll still play out of tune

If it has a serial number (not all Aria guitars had serial numbers before the mid 70s) then the first one or two numbers should clue you in to the year. Equally helpful would be the model number.
Duncan Pickups in currently in use: '59 (rewound to PATB-3)/'59, Custom 5/AP2H, Tapped QP set for Tele, Duncan Distortion, SP90-1/SP90-2

I believe it's a 1981, according to the serial number.
