Default DLT's continuing story of the bees...Part II

Well guess what? I went to the house and found the nest dug up!!! Some animal must of smelled the chemical I sprayed in the small hole! It did a great job too! The nest/nests looked holy and flat. A few bees were still hanging around, so I got the foam type spray at KMart.

On the can it says that yellowjackets build nests in the ground, so I am to assume they were yellowjackets and not hornets now. Dangdest meanest biggest yellowjackets I have ever witnessed. I shot about 1/2 can all over the area. I will do it once more on Monday, then rake the dirt back into the hole and straighten up the flocks.

I am wondering if it was an opossum (serious) who dug that hole going after the bees?

I will take a picture Monday and post it before I fix the area back.

I've heard that badgers and racoons go after the bees nests.

My wife said a possible raccoon, as we have actually fed them grapes one night through a window with a long chop stick.
