Bill Frisell is one guitarist I never see mentioned much around here, yet IMO is one of the most inventive players since Hendrix.
He's got a sound all his own and is extremely versatile in his compositions. He's seems to be one of those eclectic players that has shared the stage with so many greats, yet doesn't seem to get recognized as much as I think he should.
From far out avant garde styles, to thrash metal, to jazz and Americana. He's been one of my favorites for quite some time now (since early 90s).
I'm just baffled as to why I never see or read of anything of him on these boards.
So, I made this thread to give due respect.
