Default resistor value to make a 500K pot "see" 250K?

I'm going to drop some new pickups in my tele and plan on putting a humbucker in the bridge and a tele neck pickup in the neck.

The neck pickup will need to have a 250K pot, but the humbucker will need a 500K.

What resistor value do I need to use with a 500K to make it "see" 250K? And do I just wire the resistor from the neck pickup lug to ground?

500k is what you need to get exactly 250k but you can get close enough by using a 470k. Put it from the neck pickup lug on the switch to ground.
