Shrinebuilder is a ****ing wet dream. Pretty much the ultimate band. Ever.

I didn't know the new Baroness was out, I'll definitely have to check that one out. Loved the Red Album.

What Cave In are you listening to? What do you think of the new E.P.?

Loving Shrinebuilder. There's some thick ****in tones on that. Brutal sounds.

I'm digging Baroness so far. It's almost like they took their stylings from their previous EPs and mixed it with the red album. Very proggy, although the mix may take some getting used to.

I was checking oout Cave-Ins EP as well. I'm on the fence with that one. As diverse as they are the EP seems a little inconsistent, but I keep listening.

For my birthday my buddy Duane made me a couple of CD's of outtakes and live BBC recordings of Eric Clapton with John Mayall and also Peter Green with John Mayall.

The Clapton stuff is really interesting. The earliest playing is very tentative sounding and clean - he doesn't get his overdriven tone or his vibrato that we're all used to hearing until later on in his short career with Mayall.

The Green CD got stuck in the CD player of my pickup truck and I thought it was lost forever - just got it out again last night. I'll be listening to it today.

I've also been listening to Shelby Lynne - Just A Little Loving and the Definitive Collection.

Boy - is she ever talented!

    Kenny Burrell: Midnight Blue
    Awesome jazz guitar playing.

    Rory Gallagher: Irish Tour
Rory's the MAN! Everybody here should know him. If you don't know him, get this album and then some! Just great blues and rock guitar playing. When Hendrix was asked what it's like to be the world's greatest electric guitar player, he said 'I don't know, ask Rory Gallagher'. That should make it obvious that he ain't no nobody, even though I wouldn't say he's the greatest.

How are you digging The 69 Eyes’ Back in Blood? They say Paris Kills is the album for the band, but I believe Blessed Be is. Anyway I dig that spooky goth/glam rock they got going.

The new album is awesome. I find it's a cross between Angels and Paris Kills. It's really polished and well done.
