Yesterday I was removing these little clips and things from my headlight lense trying desperately to figure out how to remove it so that I could replace the burnt-out bulb in my low-beam slot...

Today, after a 40, I went back to replace the bulb... and it occured to me that the base itself could be unscrewed to reveal the bulb. And so, I pulled out the old bulb and put in the new one. It now works swimmingly.
