    Default Tele Deluxe advice

I'm building a Tele Deluxe, and I'm thinking of putting SD 59 in the neck and SD Custom 5 in the bridge.

I will play mostly alternative grungy music, but also blues, jazz etc.

What do you think? Will this combo work?

That sounds pretty nice to me. I had a squier tele deluxe a while ago with a dimarzio air classic neck and a Duncan Custom Custom. The air classic got a lil muddy on the low end. I like the '59n I have better, so that leads me to believe you'd like the 59/c5.

I had a push-pull on the bridge to split the CC. Worked well with the middle position. It got even better when I swapped the CC for a Dimarzio D-activator.

So I'd say go for it and consider a coil-split on the bridge pickup to get closer to some single coil snap. Like those '72 customs...
