Since it's scientific fact that correlation = causation

That sounds a little paranoid to me, but it also sounds like the kind of paranoia I'd get as well.

I see only two solutions to the problem (other than just hoping that won't happen):

- Ask an admin to check voter identities at the close of a vote, and wait until they give the all-clear to call a winner. (This would require a lot of work on the admin's part, so I don't think it's a viable option.)

- Have voters PM or email their votes directly to me, and I tally up the votes, making sure only members who were current at the start of a tourney have voted.

yeah - i dont want to make work for anyone - thats not the right answer ... only if it could be automated would it be worth even considering

i still am not sure why we cant have public balloting on these given that no one is supposed to know in advance who the contestants are until after it is all done

Meh, that's OK with me, as long as it's via email, not PM. Still, I think the way things are working right now is fine.

Just check the vote totals, they're all around 50. I doubt a ballot stuffer would vote on all polls, but I guess you never know. Everythig seems pretty friendly and in good spirits still...
