    Default Gimme some recommendations here

Ok fellas help me out here I am currently building 2 80's style shedder guitars(Charvel San Dimas style). They are both gonna have maple necks, basswood bodies, and Kahler 7300 tremolos, and 500K vol pots. On 1 of the guitars it will only have a single humbucker in the bridge, and on the other guitar it will have a humbucker in the bridge, and a hotrail in the neck pos. I'm looking for something that will sound good with the mixture of woods and the Kahler tremolo I will be using. I like to play alot of hard rock and some metal. I have a G&L Rampage that already has a JB humbucker in it so Im not looking at that pickup. I am kinda curious about the SD TB-10 and the TB-12 but know nothing about them. What kinda input can you guys out there gimme on these 2 pickups. Or what would you all recommend considering the wood I'm using

The TB-10 Full Shred is an excellent choice!
I use the Full Shred and the JB as my main recording pickups.

The Screamin Demon TB-12 sounds very good, but doesn't have much output compared to the Full Shred and JB so I don't use it.

What do you guys think about the Patb-3 for this guy's setup? I don't have that pickup in anything myself, but it sounds like it might be a good match.

If you're going for a 1980-1986 Hair Metal (Crue, RATT, VH, Autograph, Dokken, etc) tone, then you'll probably want to stay with the JB, Custom, Distortion, and Demon. Then there's the DiMarzio Super Distortion, Gibson Dirty Fingers, and maybe a Duncan 59.

Anything beyond 86/87 (Warrant, Poison, Whitesnake, Def Leppard - i.e. Corporate Metal) you might wanna look at EMGs.

For 80s rock and metal I'd go with either a Full Shred or a Duncan Distortion.
