59b in strat

i had a pair in an alder/maple mexi strat. sounded awesome. get it. if you dont like it, try different magnets, pole piece adjustments, pickup height adjustments, amp settings, etc... then sell it if you are not happy. i think you will be though.

look up some youtube clips of jimmy herring. he has had a set of 59s in his strat for ages.

What is the body wood? Alder and basswood will sound better with a 59, ash might sound a little harsh, especially with a Floyd bridge.

idk what kinda wood, its a squire so i have no clue what it would be. but theres no floyd.

While I know that I can't match Jimmy Herring's tone at least I can emulate it. You would never know that he's playing a strat unless you've seen him or read about his gear. It's had to go wrong with 59's.
