    Default Antiquity Bridge Question

I was just wondering if anyone has put two neck pickups in their Les Paul? One in the bridge and one in the neck. I did and am now contemplating on ordering a bridge pickup. The middle position is so sweet though and I really don't want to lose that, but think I want a little darker or thicker sound in the bridge. Neck pickup reads 7.57 and bridge reads 7.61 now and will end up getting a 8.3 bridge. Don't know if its worth it.

The neck ant is really a little thin for the bridge.

But the neck one sells much better used, so trading it for a bridge version should leave you with no loss, might even get shipping out of it.

yeah I would definitely get a bridge pickup for the bridge. Then again I don't know what sound you're looking for.

Thanks Jeremy, I just hope that it sounds thicker by it's self. Enough that I can tell. Oh well, if it doesn't I guess the middle will still be just as sweet eh!

I too would go with a bridge ant.

But, the middle tone would be a bit less lively. Be prepared for it. In fact, I do not know if you've tried it, in the middle position set the bridge vol/tone to 10 but the neck vol to 8 and tone to 5 or 6 (if you have audio pots, 8 becomes a bit lower, 3 4 ... anyways). You should get quite a fat lead tone.

By the way, you should have flipped one of the ant neck's mag no?

I did a lot of magnet swapping in my Ant set. I really like an A4 in the neck (i think Dr. Barlo tried that too). With an A4 in the neck you get some more volume and would come near a stock Bridge.
I get the feeling the A8 will blow your skirt up more so -Edgecrusher

    Hi,

I love the a4s both in the neck and in the bridge (but not in the same guitar though). In fact, my ideal ant set has an a4 in the bridge, and either the stock (dun-aged) a2 or an a3 in the neck. Yet, a4s in ant. and 59 necks sound excellent too.
