Best passive metal pickup?

Hello, I just have one simple question that maybe a lot of you can help me with here. What's the best SD passive metal pickup?

I have used the Following: 59, Dime, Pearly Gates plus, Custom, Custom Custom, and JB. I think the best Metal pup is the JB, which I just switched back to again for the 3rd time.

I like the brightness and its well-rounded as far as styles. I would recommend EMG81 (My favorite pickup) but you asked for Duncan.

not hard enough. try the DD you will be able to have better palm muted and very good hights for your solos

I just have experience with the custom and jb and i think both are great for metal!

Duncan Distortion, hands down.

Either a custom or a DD. I think a full shred would work great with lower tunings though. I am going to try it some day.

Let me say this first...Both guys from Godsmack use Les Pauls...Stock neck pups and Pearly Gates Bridge pups! Alot of good Nu-Metal tones are vintage style guitars with modern amps and tons of gain...Were I you I would get a...

Is the Duncan Distortion good for palm mutes?

Guys ever heard the Godsmack song Whatever? Basicly I want my guitar to sound just like the guitar in that song. Or most other Godsmack songs if you haven't heard that one before.

DD is killer for PM's...it;s got a good strong bottom with killer high's
