Default Classic Marshall tone without the cost??

Ok, is there a Marshall tube amp that would give me the classic Marshall tone but without the cost?? - I'm talking about something smaller and quieter than the JCM800 2555 that I dream of

Even a 10-20watt amp would do as long as the tone is sweet - is there any such amp??

Marshall has just started doing reissues of their old low wattage tube amps - 18w and 20w I think. But they are point-to-point hand wired and expensive - you'd probably get a used 2555 cheaper!

The cheapest Marshall tube amp is probably the DSL201 combo:

I jammed with a guy who was using a DSL401 a while ago and it sounded great.

Another possibility is a used JTM30 or JTM60. They crop up on Ebay from time to time and have some great classic rock tones.

For low volume practising I make do with my Roland Cube 30 - no, it's not a Marshall, but it has a great range of tones and features for a very modest price. I paid £154.

I don't know how expensive they are across the pond, but the Fender 59 Bassman RI is a good amp. They can be had here in the US for around $500-$600.

Yes. It's called a USED Marshall.

I like the '82 JCM 800 50 watt models myself...but 50 watts can be loud.

    Sovtek MIG series amps.

You can get the 50 watter for less than $300, and it is quite...I mean VERY much like the JCM800

    Thanks guys,

So I need to look at the DSL201 combo, JTM230, Roland Cubes, Fender 59 Bassman RI or a Sovtek MIG.

I have a brand new Marshall MG250DFX (stereo 50 watt) at the moment - it's a good amp but I'm hankering for tube tones
