    Default Triaxis!!!! Stupid rich kids!!!

One of my close buddies just bough a triaxis and a ****ty power amp. Immediately after getting it he says "this thing sucks, my old amp is way better". I tried to tell him it was the power amp, but he was convinced. So guess what.. HE'S SELLING IT. He has NO idea how much it is worth and it gonna sell it for insanely cheap. (he got it for a birthday present, btw). I think i'm gonna buy it!!! These things soudns so amazing it's rediculous... I dont have a whole lot of money, but i think i'm gonna work my ass off for the next couple weeks and get it... You guys'd do the same thing, right?! Oh ya... i'll need to buy a new power amp... the 2:90 sounds like the best.. but is that really too much power? A 50w recto is the perfect volume for me.. but i can go a little louder... thanks guys

hmm, i just realized how harsh i sounded on the guy.. i just wanted to make it clear that me and him are great buddies, the kinda friends that can insult you to hell and not care. Also, i have morals, so i tried to tell him it was worth more but he just kinda said "whatever". So better for me, right?

I'd buy it and call it the price he pays for being stupid.

Yeah go for it, what a bargain - he's going to sell it for much less anyway.

Just raise the cash quickly by selling some junk real cheap. Throw green dollar bills, although less than it's worth, in front of him and grab it.
Then later, you can see his face when it's in your rack, along with a Mesa 2:100 and stereo Vintage 30 loaded cab. He'll cry.

Buy it for a cheap as you possibly can to him. If he didn't pay for it himself he probablky doesn't know that it carries a $1600 price tag. Don't even offer cash if you can get away with it, offer to trade some stuff too.

If you can use the Triaxis to its full potential and its a target of opportunity then take it!! If he decided later he made a huge mistake, well sorry it ain't for sale no more and thats the price you pay for being shortsighted. He's got to learn SOMEHOW...

I say buy it, like everyone else said, he's gonna sell it cheap anyways, you might as well be the one to snap up the bargain.

Who wouldn't want a Triaxis at a silly price?

The Triaxis is a killer piece if you can pull it off.

The 2:90 is louder than you'll ever need but the 1/2 power switch tames it down nicely and gets you some extra power amp distortion. I run my effects in series between the triaxis and 2:90 and use the output control from the last effects unit to control my overall levels.

I run Mesa 112 3/4 back cabs and I get manageable club levels with solid tone. Running 412 cabs full throttle would be literally deafening.

If you decide on a power amp, I would highly recommend the Randall RT2/50. With higher quality tubes in it, it sounds just as good as my VHT. The features alone are worth it. I believe Randall with Bruce Egnater's help really out did themselves with this power amp. They are very reliable and built like a tank too. The two major benefits you have with this amp over others, is the self bias feature, and the ability to have channel select between 6L6 and EL34s via midi, or you can run both at the same time in stereo. The right tube for the right sound. I feel the rest of Randalls amps sound like crap, but the RM4 and RT2 are a serious breakthrough. They are deffinently of pro quality, and they finally did something right.

Anyways, long story short, try the RT2. I think you will be surprised.

100% buy it. I just bought one a couple of weeks ago and I love it. Like any great pre-amp it is dependant on a good power amp. Also, the tri-axis is quite a sensitive piece. The tone and gain controls REALLY make huge differences in your sound. If your not careful you can come out with un-defineable mush. But if you read the manual and set it correctly you can get some truly great tones. Good luck!
